The Effect of Nutritional Education Program on Mitigating Trauma Disorder among Kindergarten Children during COVID19 Pandemic

This study was performed to measure the effect of nutritional knowledge education courses include (23) sessions on mitigating the effects of trauma disorder among kindergarten children through COVID19 pandemic. The study sample included kindergarten children (5-7 years old) and their Mothers. Three questionnaires were used to assess nutritional knowledge. Also, trauma symptoms during the COVID19 pandemic were identified by using the experimental method. Data indicated that the positive effect of the nutritional education program sessions on reducing the symptoms of children's trauma disorder. Also, statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the children in the experimental group on the pre- and post-application of the questionnaire of traumatic disorder during the COVID19 pandemic were recorded. In conclusion, the present study showed that mothers can pass awareness for their young children about healthy foods which can help to fight against the COVID19 pandemic through improving their immune system. We recommended paying more attention to abnormal psychological behaviors in children by find out their causes and trying to find solutions that may contribute to preventing their emergence in children.
